Job description

Reuse Shop Team Leader

Salary – Circa £27,456 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 32.5 hours per week, working five days including weekends
Location – Farthinghoe Recycling and Reuse Centre, NN13 5PB

As a Reuse Shop Team Leader at FCC Environment, you will help manage the daily operations of the Reuse Shop, working alongside a small, dedicated team. You’ll be responsible for organising and presenting donated goods, maintaining strong customer service, and ensuring health and safety standards are upheld — all while helping to support sustainability and reduce landfill.

This is a full-time position, working five days per week, including weekends and bank holidays.

What will you be doing?

  1. Assisting with the day-to-day management of the Reuse Shop
  2. Leading and supporting a small team of staff
  3. Organising, preparing, pricing, and presenting donations for sale
  4. Ensuring donated electrical items are PAT tested (training provided)
  5. Handling daily financial tasks, including cash reconciliation and banking
  6. Dealing with customers and traders in a helpful and professional manner
  7. Supporting promotional events and campaigns
  8. Keeping the shop and surrounding area clean and tidy
  9. Maintaining high standards of health and safety in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act
