Job description

Are you an experienced Retrofit Coordinator looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking an exceptional individual to support the Head of Propositions for Sustainability and Net Zero by overseeing the delivery of services related to sustainability and data-driven sustainability projects. This role involves coordinating a team of Retrofit Advisors, Assessors, Coordinators, Designers and Evaluators, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within cost, consumption and carbon budgets, and to the client's satisfaction.

This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week in the field in the Manchester area.

Job Description:
What you'll be doing:
  1. Lead and manage a cross-functional service delivery team of Retrofit Assessors/coordinators to ensure efficient operation of sustainability projects and initiatives and ensure QA function.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Product, and subject matter experts, to facilitate smooth contract execution.
  3. Coordinate with internal and external partners, including supply chain partners, providers, and contractors, to ensure the work is done correctly and within budget and timeline and align project objectives and timelines. This will include management of evaluations/inspections after the retrofit to ensure that the installed measures are performing as expected.
  4. Oversee project management activities, ensuring all projects are delivered in accordance with the agreed-upon scope and quality standards.
  5. Monitor and report on the performance of retrofit operations delivery and support, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  6. Track and manage the mitigation and resolution of service level risks and issues that arise, as well as escalated project risks.
  7. Manage budgets and resources, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints and to agreed quality standards.
  8. Provide horizon scans and insights on what is current to lead on retrofitting of existing buildings in the public sector marketplace.
  9. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and metrics to inform retrofit sequencing, understand how all retrofit measures will be evaluated and the requirements for funding purposes.
  10. Lead on PAS 2038 learning management planning and undertake training when available, supported by Capita.
What we're looking for:
  1. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of energy systems, building materials, and construction techniques.
  2. Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management together with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage retrofit projects in compliance with the PAS 2035 standard.
  3. You should hold at least 12 credits at Level 3 in a built environment subject.
  4. You need to demonstrate competencies in areas such as project management and risk assessment, as defined by PAS 2035.
  5. A minimum of 2 years of experience working on retrofit or energy efficiency projects is required in non-domestic retrofitting or energy audits to an approved standard.
