Join Our Team as a Retail Recruiter at B&M Retail!

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Retail Recruiter to join our in-house recruitment team, as we continue to grow our store network. This role is based full time at our Support Centre, Speke, Liverpool.

As a Retail Recruiter, you'll play a key role in supporting the recruitment needs for a range of retail roles up to and including management, across our 750+ stores. From collaborating with hiring managers to making offers you’ll be integral in ensuring B&M attracts, selects, and retains top talent.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in recruitment, a proven track record in filling vacancies, and a creative approach to candidate attraction. Ideally you’ll have experience working in a fast paced retail environment but this isn’t essential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with hiring managers to track live roles and understand their requirements.
  2. Create and post job advertisements on various platforms (job boards, social media, career sites).
  3. Maintain and update high volumes of candidate applications in the tracking system (ATS).
  4. Source candidates through databases, social media, networking, and referrals.
  5. Screen CVs and applications to shortlist potential candidates.
  6. Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  7. Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams.
  8. Provide a positive candidate experience through timely communication and support.
  9. Track recruitment metrics and provide weekly or monthly updates.
  10. Assist in building and nurturing talent pipelines across the retail network.
What We're Looking For
  1. Proven recruitment experience, either in-house or from an agency background.
  2. Strong understanding of the end-to-end recruitment life cycle, including onboarding.
  3. Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Knowledge of the recruitment market and an understanding of recruitment marketing strategies.
  5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  7. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  8. A results-driven mindset with the flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
