Ekstedt at The Yard focuses on Scandinavian cooking techniques using the very best seasonal local ingredients, featuring a menu of signature dishes, alongside an inventive cocktail menu and extensive wine list. The open kitchen, which feels like an extension of the restaurant floor, allows diners to sit at the heart of the action.

Duties and responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager

  • The Restaurant Manager is accountable for the daily operations of Ekstedt at The Yard Restaurant ensuring the smooth running of lunch and dinner services.
  • You will own the Ekstedt at The Yard Restaurant concept, ensuring every aspect of the operation stays true to this concept and deliver it.
  • Manage and be responsible for the restaurant budget/costs/financial reforecast.
  • Work closely with the restaurant Head Chef and your Manager to deliver the Ekstedt experience.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with guests.
  • Stay up to date with the market and propose new business ideas.
  • Keep information about guests updated.
  • Recruit the right talent and train and support new members of the team.
  • Maintain regular communications with the team to provide feedback on performance and to address any underperformance and conduct-related concerns, mentoring and coaching to ensure maximum employee engagement and productivity.
  • Ensure the restaurant is compliant with the hotel’s health and safety policy, procedures, and best practices.
  • Prepare SOPs and ensure the team is aware of these SOPs and properly trained.
