Restaurant Manager

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

SHIFT PATTERN: Monday till Sunday Depending on Shift and Events. 5 days a week. Between 10am – 2am (Dependent on requirement)

PLACE OF WORK: 13-15 Aintree Rd, Bootle L20 9DL

SALARY: £38,700.00 per annum (£19.85 per hour)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and drive our marketing and social media efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction.
2. Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
3. Handle customer complaints and feedback promptly and professionally.

Marketing and Social Media Management:

4. Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote Kemola Restaurant and Lounge.
5. Manage social media accounts, creating engaging content to attract and retain customers.
6. Plan and execute promotional campaigns, events, and special offers.
7. Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
8. Ensure that all customers receive excellent service from the moment they enter the restaurant until they leave.
9. Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers and staff alike.
10. Engage with customers to receive feedback and make improvements based on their suggestions.
11. Assist in developing and managing the restaurant’s budget.
12. Monitor financial performance, including sales, costs, and profitability.
13. Implement cost-control measures to maximize efficiency and profitability.
14. Plan and coordinate events and special occasions hosted at Kemola Restaurant and Lounge.
15. Ensure all event logistics are managed effectively and that customers have a memorable experience.

Staff Development:

16. Recruit, train, and develop front-of-house staff.
17. Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and professional growth.

Compliance:

18. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and licensing laws.
19. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. Experience in marketing and social media management.
5. Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost management.
6. Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
7. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and licensing laws.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS OF THIS JOB:

1. A degree/higher diploma in relevant field.
2. Extensive experience in working in a Nigerian Hospitality environment and working in a Nigerian restaurant is desirable.
3. Willingness to undergo of and on-the-job training.
4. Good interpersonal skills and eloquence in English.
5. Those requiring sponsorship will need to meet the Home Office approved English standards such as the B1 English test.
6. DBS Clearance/Police Check.
7. Passport/ID.
8. Right to work.
