Restaurant Manager

Tailored Recruitment Consultancy are working with a leading employer in Bingley to recruit a Catering Manager to join their small but busy team on a permanent basis.

They're looking for an experienced Catering Manager to lead the team at the Bingley site, driving excellence in both service and operations across the restaurant.

This role offers the perfect balance of career progression and work-life balance, with sociable hours (finishing by 5pm daily) and alternating weekends off.

As Catering Manager, you'll inspire and coach your team to achieve high food standards, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and manage budgets effectively. You'll also play a key role in developing menus, managing supplier relationships, and planning new initiatives to align with seasonal trends.

Responsibilities:

1. Coach the front and back of house teams.
2. Ensure our food offering is delivered to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional customer service, and adhering to all food safety.
3. Drive menu development and design across our catering offering.
4. Deliver on catering budgets (sales, margin, wages), constantly reviewing performance against these and act as and when required to improve.
5. Review overall staffing requirements to ensure we deliver in line with budget.
6. Manage key supplier relationships (both internal and external) to drive efficiencies and to ensure continued great service.
7. Plan with the Head of Food up to 6 months in advance to cover new initiatives, merchandising, marketing campaigns, seasonal flux in business and product sales.
8. Liaise across our total food departments and Marketing team to ensure a joint up approach to our catering and food offerings.
9. Ensure there is an effective communication plan in place, through the Restaurant Managers, to ensure a smooth-running operation.

Minimum Requirements:

The perfect candidate will have:

1. Previous experience in a catering role.
2. Ability to make decisions and initiate action.
3. Strong leadership skills and able to work well with people.
4. Ability to persuade and influence.
5. Strong at presenting and communicating information.
6. Able to analyse key financial information.
7. Strong at planning and organising.
8. Ability to cope with pressures and setbacks.
