Role Purpose

The role holder will work with the Head of Resource Planning, Resource Planning Manager and key Stakeholders to implement a resource planning framework and associated governance across dnata Catering. The role holder will be responsible for collation of demand and/or supply forecasts and associated recommendations for closure of resource gaps. They will also be responsible for the update and review of actuals vs plan and any analysis of deviation from plan.

Internal: Head of Resource Planning, Resource Planning Manager, HRBP(s), Finance BP(s), Operations Directors, General Managers, Unit Managers & Department Managers

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan:
  • Support the overall demand and supply forecast process, potentially being responsible for specific elements in order to create plans, rosters and identify resource gaps
  • Work with Operations and Ops Excellence to include impact of transformation activities into plan
  • Work with Business Leaders to determine the optimal people, equipment, and other resource requirements to support the future business strategy
  • Use agreed planning values/SSTs set to create forecasts
  • Support the maintenance of the SST and/or Engagement Standards list(s) for planning and commercial purposes
  • Deploy:
    • Support the socialisation of plan outputs
    • Produce deployment recommendations that support effective and efficient utilisation of people, equipment and facilities
    • Maintain a list(s) of SSTs and/or Engagement Standards for commercial and planning purposes with clear articulation of any transformation impacts and phasing
    • Track metrics to measure the success of manpower and equipment planning across area of responsibility
  • Execute:
    • Agree and sign off plan, assumptions and utilisation of recommended resourcing levers
  • Control:
    • Use agreed plan components volumes, times, people and skills
    • Create and maintain reports to enable review of forecast accuracy and plan adherence
    • Use and maintain planning tools correctly

    This list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary dependant on locality, sites supported, specialisation in a particular area or role complexity and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager.

    What you’ll have:

    • 5+ years in airport operations or a comparable sector
    • Experience in advance planning tools i.e. Anaplan, Ground Star Planning, Workday- Absence
    • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Advanced computer literacy skills in particular MS Office and Excel
    • Relevant and demonstrable experience in resource management and/or manpower planning
    • Analytical and problem solving skills
    • Experience of forecasting and budgeting
    • Management, Time Tracking, Scheduling & Labour Optimization
    • Experience in Power BI, Tableau or similar analysis and visualisation tools
