Job description

At Severn Trent, we're embarking on an exciting £415m project to replace 870 miles of old water pipes across the Midlands - and we want you to be part of it. This is the biggest investment in water infrastructure in the region in a decade and it is set to improve water quality, reduce leaks and make water supply more reliable for millions of people. The new pipes we are installing will last up to 100 years.

To bring this vision to life, we are creating new jobs across the region with your base in Birmingham, Nottingham or anywhere in between. We've got opportunities for you to help shape the future of water in the Midlands.

We are looking for a Resource Facilitator to join our team who will support the Network Construction Managers across Mains Renewal by ensuring all construction team members are up to date and compliant with relevant training.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

As a Resources Facilitator, you will be responsible for monitoring and rescheduling training requirements to ensure continuous skills compliance for construction teams. This involves proactively managing skills compliance by identifying skills profile gaps and organizing necessary learning interventions, ensuring the right people attend the right training at the right time and place.

You will ensure all construction teams are fully trained and compliant with CDM regulations, planning training in line with shrinkage levels and working closely with the Academy to book full-time employees on courses within the SLA of skill expiry. Additionally, you will research new industry-based technology and equipment to keep the teams updated with the latest advancements.

Improving internal processes and methods for monitoring skills profiles will be a key part of your role, as well as creating a consistent approach across the Mains Renewal programme. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining high standards of training and compliance, ensuring that the construction teams are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Capabilities & Behaviours:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and SLA.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to challenge effectively.
  • Process-driven with problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality L&D experiences.
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete high-volume work accurately.
  • Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Strong personal resilience to remain motivated and calm under pressure.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge.
  • Experience in a training role.
  • Experience in the construction or water industry.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, SAP ECC, and BW reporting.
  • Training Event Management.
