Job description

We are looking to recruit a Residential Support Worker - Long Stay Childrens Home within the Social Care industry in Devon.

The post holder will support the young person and will be responsible for the care, including support and supervision of the young person during their time in the Home in line with their individual profiles and risk assessments. This could include any property or equipment used or accessed.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Provide care for young people in accordance with the Childrens Homes' policies and procedures and assisting them with day-to-day activities.
  2. Provide a safe environment for the young people, including the community to develop their skills and understanding.
  3. Compliance with Safeguarding policies and procedures.
  4. Delegation to plan activities to build the confidence and self-esteem of individual young people.
  5. Maintaining each young person's personal file, completing reports and keeping records.
  6. Administer first aid as necessary.
  7. Keeping the Childrens Home clean, tidy and safe.
  8. Preparing meals with young people.
  9. Working as part of a team and attending staff meetings.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. 1 year experience within UK
  2. Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  3. Eligibility to work in the UK
