Platinum Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading healthcare provider in Crawley, West Sussex, in their search for an exceptional Female Support Worker. This is a unique opportunity to join a team committed to empowering adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, acquired brain injuries, and complex mental health needs to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Your Impact:

In this vital role, you'll provide person-centered support, fostering independence and enhancing the well-being of individuals within a residential supported living setting. Your contributions will directly impact their quality of life, enabling them to thrive within their community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Holistic Support: Deliver individualised care plans that address the unique needs of each service user, encompassing physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  2. Daily Living Assistance: Provide sensitive support with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and household tasks, promoting dignity and autonomy.
  3. Community Integration: Facilitate meaningful engagement in community activities, appointments, and social events, fostering inclusion and reducing isolation.
  4. Mental Health Support: Provide empathetic support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, working alongside professionals to promote emotional well-being.
  5. Accurate Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records, including daily logs, incident reports, and support plan updates.
  6. Collaborative Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  7. Flexible Scheduling: Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Proven experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and acquired brain injuries.
  2. Demonstrated understanding and experience in supporting individuals with mental health needs.
  3. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with service users and colleagues.
  4. Previous experience in care assistance, social care, or working with vulnerable adults.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  6. Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
  7. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  8. A NEW enhanced DBS check will be required.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
  2. MHFA (Mental Health First Aid) Certification.
  3. Full UK driving license.
