Job description

My client is aprestigious law firm based in South West London, known for delivering high-quality legal services across various sectors. They are currently on the lookout for a Residential PropertyHead of Department to join their team.

The Role: As the Head of the Residential Property Department, you will be responsible for managing and growing the department while overseeing a team of skilled solicitors and support staff. You will play a pivotal role in delivering excellent legal services to clients and ensuring the department operates efficiently and in accordance with legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Residential Property team, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of performance and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee the full range of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, leases, and remortgages.
  • Develop and implement strategies for department growth and business development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including individuals, developers, and investors.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and train junior solicitors, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years of PQE in Residential Property law.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of residential property law and regulations.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and a proven track record of business development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
