Job description

We are currently working with a reputable law firm who are looking for a Part Time Legal Secretary/ Typist to join their Residential Conveyancing department in Chandlers Ford.

This role is to provide admin support to the Fee Earners on a one to one basis or as a team. This is a great opportunity if you thrive working in a fast paced environment.

Duties include:

  1. Providing full secretarial support including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation related to property transactions with PA duties including diary management.
  2. General team administration tasks including meeting and greeting clients, taking calls and directing accordingly and arranging meeting room bookings.
  3. Providing fast and accurate typing from dictation and some copy typing.

Desired skills and experience:
  1. Legal Secretary experience with at least 2 years of solid property expertise. However, other areas of law will be considered.
  2. Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills.
  3. High level of attention to detail.
  4. Must have fast and accurate typing speeds.
  5. Experience with using digital dictation and a case management system before.

What they offer:
  1. Office based role - Part time hours - 3 days a week or 5 days at reduced hours. Can be discussed at interview stage.
  2. Salary depending on experience - £23,000 - £24,000 Pro Rata.
  3. Standard holiday plus bank holidays.
