Job description

We have an urgent opportunity for 2 Waking Night Female staff to pick up regular shifts Mon - Sun. Shifts are available from this Wednesday to be covered.

There are 2 homes based in IP7 and due to limited/no public transport, staff would need to be a driver or transport needs to be arranged accordingly due to picking up night shifts.

Below requirements are MUST for the staff to be selected for the shifts:

  • Must be a female aged over 21 (ideally over 25)
  • Mandatory training PLUS must be trained in safeguarding, first aid, medication, food hygiene, fire safety as a minimum
  • Be working towards or have achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Residential children's homes, or equivalent as stated in Ofsted children's homes quality standards.
  • Be confident in working alone in a challenging environment (working with females aged between 11-17 that have emotional and behavioural needs)
  • Preferably trained in Team Teach de-escalation and physical intervention - young people are extremely challenging.
  • Working hours are 22.00 - 08.00
  • Casual attire
  • Night duties will include tidying and maintaining the home/prep for next day

Staff must be experienced in children's services and challenging behaviour.

Compliance and training will be in line with OFSTED regulations. As part of this, a safer recruitment check will need to be done by the agency.
