Children's Home Manager - New Home Opening in Oldham

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Negotiable)
Location: Oldham, UK
Job Type: Full-Time

Are you an experienced Deputy Manager ready to take the next step, or an established Children's Home Manager looking for an exciting new challenge? We are opening a brand-new children's home in Oldham and seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our team.

About the Role:

As the Children's Home Manager, you will play a key role in setting up and managing a brand-new residential home for children and young people. You will ensure the home operates to the highest standards, providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

In the next six months, additional children's homes will be opening, offering an excellent opportunity for career progression into a Dual Manager role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the setup and successful opening of the new home.
  2. Ensure the home meets Ofsted regulations and provides outstanding care.
  3. Recruit, train, and develop a strong staff team.
  4. Promote a positive and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
  5. Manage budgets, policies, and procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
  6. Work closely with external agencies, social workers, and stakeholders.

Requirements:
  1. Experience as a Children's Home Manager or Deputy Manager with extensive leadership experience.
  2. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
  3. Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's residential care standards.
  4. Passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
