Residential Building Surveyor

Residential Building Surveyor (RICS) - Billericay, CM12

An great opportunity has arisen for a Residential Building Surveyor to join our client based in both in our office in Billericay, CM12. This role would be ideally suited to someone with strong practical experience in a similar role and looking to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

1. Undertaking all aspect of professional building surveyor works including Section 20 contracts in accordance with current legislation.
2. Completion of Asbestos reports and reviews.
3. BCIS rebuilding valuations.
4. Implementation of CDM regulations where required.
5. Inspection of and advising on Licenses to alter and consents due under the lease terms.
6. Acting for Clients on Party Wall matters.
7. Writing of schedules of work and defect reports.
8. Planned maintenance programming.
9. Attend AGMs as necessary.
10. Reporting to clients and lessees on active projects and caseload.
11. Supporting junior member of staff with Surveying knowledge.
12. Using a range of software, including email, spreadsheets and Qube databases, to ensure the efficient organisation of project diaries.
13. Producing reports for senior management on current workload and projected fee earning.

The Successful Applicant will need to possess the following skills:

1. 5+ years relevant experience.
2. MRICS qualified preferred but not essential.
3. Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
4. Strong IT skills.
5. Excellent presenting, communication and report writing skills.
6. The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
7. The ability to manage your workload.
8. Negotiation and relationship-building skills.
9. Good attention to detail.
10. Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
11. A self-motivated and problem-solving approach to work.

The hours will be: 9.00am to 5.30pm

Salary range will be: £50,000 to £60,000pa (pro rata)
