Head Medical have General Medicine opportunities located in the beautiful Hawkes Bay region. These positions are suited to doctors possessing a minimum of 6 months General Medicine experience, post foundation training. You will be part of a supportive team managing a wide variety of presentations.

• Salary $111,905 - $124,579 NZD (depending on experience)

The Role

You will be based in a large secondary level, 400 bed accredited public hospital providing acute and elective care for a region of over 162,000 people. It is one of the largest provincial hospitals in New Zealand. The hospital is modern with a full range of surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services. In addition, outreach services are provided at rural and community based facilities across the region in Wairoa and Waipukurau. The General Medicine department has dedicated team of 40 Physicians, 26 Registrars and 15 House Officers providing services across Acute Medicine, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Respiratory, Geriatric Medicine, Oncology and Cardiology. The department looks after more than 8000 admissions per year, across 4 medical wards and a 20 bed acute assessment unit.

Please note, a minimum of 6 months General Medicine experience post foundation training is required.
