An opportunity has arisen for a Reservation Agent to join us at Jumeirah Carlton Tower.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a reservation agent role in a 5 Star Front Office or Reservations Department.
  • Excellent level of English.
  • Competent computer skills, word, excel, power point.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels.
  • Effective organizational skills, able to prioritise tasks and self-manage a demanding workload.
  • Excellent presentation skills.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Process telephone and email reservations according to room and rate availability, ensuring that full and accurate details are obtained and input accordingly into Opera.
  • Deal with travel agent bookings, vouchers and credit requests, ensuring that the hotel’s policy is adhered to at all times.
  • Process all SynXis reservations and extranet messages ensuring that all bookings are accurate.
  • To be fully conversant with rate groups and sales accounts procedures.
  • To ensure that all reservations standards and procedures are met with regard to reservations and system input.
  • Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate.
  • To liaise with sales, marketing and operations teams to ensure that VIP guests are recognized as part of the VIP procedures, including room allocations, amenities and arrival welcome.
  • To determine from reservations any sales leads for future business and ensure these are passed to the sales department.
  • Ensure reservations are taken accurately & traces are in place for the front office to follow up as required.
  • Ensure that reservations include accurate billing details and that the accounts department have the required back-up.
