About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
At least 2 years’ experience as a reservation agent role in a 5 Star Front Office or Reservations Department.
Excellent level of English.
Competent computer skills, word, excel, power point.
Excellent communicator at all levels.
Effective organizational skills, able to prioritise tasks and self-manage a demanding workload.
Excellent presentation skills.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Process telephone and email reservations according to room and rate availability, ensuring that full and accurate details are obtained and input accordingly into Opera.
Deal with travel agent bookings, vouchers and credit requests, ensuring that the hotel’s policy is adhered to at all times.
Process all SynXis reservations and extranet messages ensuring that all bookings are accurate.
To be fully conversant with rate groups and sales accounts procedures.
To ensure that all reservations standards and procedures are met with regard to reservations and system input.
Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate.
To liaise with sales, marketing and operations teams to ensure that VIP guests are recognized as part of the VIP procedures, including room allocations, amenities and arrival welcome.
To determine from reservations any sales leads for future business and ensure these are passed to the sales department.
Ensure reservations are taken accurately & traces are in place for the front office to follow up as required.
Ensure that reservations include accurate billing details and that the accounts department have the required back-up.
