We wish to appoint a Research Fellow with expertise in economics or health economics to join the Health Organisation, Policy and Economics (HOPE) research group. The successful applicant will work closely with Professor Matt Sutton, as well as wider project teams.
The postholder will divide their time between two projects funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), a project examining take-up of Pension Credit and the Policy Research Unit in Health and Care Systems and Commissioning (PRUComm). You will undertake highly relevant applied research and liaise closely with independent economic and social policy experts, plus policymakers and advisers in the Department of Health and Social Care.
An excellent Masters degree in Economics or Health Economics (with a substantial econometrics component) plus a PhD in Health Economics or Economics are essential. Candidates will need to demonstrate a track record of productivity, effective stakeholder engagement, and understanding and experience of advanced micro-econometric techniques.
There is funding for a full-time position, but part-time employment will be considered. The role allows a mix of office-based and homeworking from within the UK.
