Research Data Manager
Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office one to two days per week). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations in Manchester, NH, Wilmington, DE or Newton, MA.
The Research Data Manager is responsible for providing data management support for research studies that include medical record chart abstractions as well as direct-to-patient survey projects.
How you will make an impact:
- Provides support for data management projects, processes, and systems.
- Provides process ownership for all Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
- Organizes and reviews project documentation provided by vendors to ensure accuracy of information and analyze areas of concern.
- Ensures development and design of data collection forms are in accordance with study protocol and established standards.
- Creates and reviews data dictionaries to ensure quality data collection and standardization.
- Reviews data files using Good Data Management Processes and Practices, SAS coding and attention to detail.
- Audits charts to ensure integrity and quality of clinical data and HIPAA compliance.
- Maintains the project tracking database.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires BA/BS in Epidemiology, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, Natural Sciences or related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in research data collection; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications especially with Excel strongly preferred.
- Experience with survey or chart-abstraction research and data management strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Electronic Data Management (EDC) systems strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills preferred.
- Knowledge of statistical software such as SAS preferred.
- Experience with quality checking datasets or data entry preferred.
