About More Good Days

More Good Days is a VC-backed health tech start-up that helps people manage their chronic pain with digital behavioural treatments. We are a for-purpose company founded to create innovative solutions for people with chronic pain. We are a team of clinicians and entrepreneurs who have come together to make evidence-based pain management accessible to everyone that needs it.

As many countries fight an opioid crisis that arose from a genuine need for pain relief, demand and evidence have grown for multidisciplinary and behavioural treatment for chronic pain. However, only 10% of chronic pain sufferers have access to these treatments due to high costs or lack of trained practitioners.

After recently closing our first fundraising round, we are now looking to hire exceptional people to form our founding team members to supercharge our growth.

Why join More Good Days?

Come be part of a mission-driven and fast-growing venture-backed start-up in Australia looking to make a real difference in people’s lives. As a founding member of More Good Days, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the direction of the company as well as the freedom and support from our small energetic team who are empowered to make a direct impact through our work.

About the Role

At the core of More Good Days' product is our mobile application providing users with evidence-based information, education, and exercises to help manage their pain. We’re looking for a Research and Content Lead to drive the end-to-end creation of engaging, evidence-based content. The successful applicant will draw on evidence-based cross-disciplinary scientific literature and our diverse clinical team to drive the development of new program content that drives real change and impact for people challenged by pain.

The successful applicant will have the capacity to understand research and ideas from domains including pain neuroscience, health psychology, and behavioural sciences and will require an aptitude for communicating complex ideas in simple and engaging ways.

What You'll Do

  1. Conduct background research and gather literature to ensure our content strategy is grounded in the best available science.
  2. Develop high-quality and engaging product content including drafting curriculum, content, and session transcripts for audio or video.
  3. Support the coordination of review and input from clinical and scientific advisory teams to ensure accurate and effective communication of ideas or activities.
  4. Support the product design team with how information is displayed to users in the app in an easy to understand way without compromising the clinical integrity of the research or misleading users.
  5. Support content review and development if required across all aspects of the business including marketing material, blogs, informationals, social media, etc.
  6. Keep abreast of trends, medical and/or technical writing/regulatory knowledge, and developments and advances in pain management, health psychology, behavioural science and other relevant fields.
  7. Set goals for your area of responsibility, regularly reviewing goal progress and redirecting work to balance speed and quality.
  8. Keep the team informed of any major changes, needs, or risks identified.
  9. Develop and manage relationships with key members of the scientific community.

About You

You're a health researcher with a creative flair. You are excited about translating science into engaging, habit-changing multimedia content that makes a direct impact in our user’s lives.

  • An advanced degree or PhD in a life sciences or clinical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in research, medical writing, content development or other relevant fields.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific/medical information into easy to understand and digestible information.
  • Previous experience in medical communications/publications is a plus.
  • A keen eye for detail (for copyediting, proofreading, and general quality control).
  • A good command of assigned therapeutic area(s) and ability to assimilate new information and/or switch areas, as needed.
  • Passionate about health, well-being, and/or psychology.

What We Offer

  • Equity in the business and a competitive salary.
  • High growth opportunity to develop self and others.
  • Balance of freedom + support: We believe in autonomy, so hybrid work is how we operate. Come in when you need to, otherwise, work how works best for you, even if that’s really late or really early.

How To Apply

Send your CV & a short bio to us. While our preference is full-time candidates based in Melbourne, Australia, we’re open to exploring remote working and part-time options for the right candidate.
