The University of York’s Wolfson Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratories (WACL) wish to recruit a Research Associate to support nitrogen oxide (NOx) measurements at the Cape Verde Atmospheric Observatory (CVAO) and to lead data analyses and publication of these data. This post supports the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS) programmes supporting observations of chemical change in the North Atlantic region. The post is available from 1st April 2025 for a period of 5 months.
WACL is the largest dedicated atmospheric chemistry facility in the UK, home to more than 70 researchers. You will work (remotely) with the CVAO-based technical staff to ensure they are supported in maintaining the high quality continuous measurements of NOx. You will also work with modellers to interpret the data from the CVAO and other global data sets and with the wider CVAO project team including postdoctoral research associates and PhD students.
