The Office of Field Operations has an opening for a Resource Management Analyst III. This position is located in Owensboro, KY. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is analytical, meticulous, thorough, self-starting, and a team player.
As a Resource Management Analyst III for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, you will assist management and Division staff by providing analysis of business and programmatic functions of Revenue applications.
Your analysis and feedback are vital in communicating with taxpayers, state agencies, vendors, and developers to maintain and implement effective technology operations. You will actively participate in project developments to ensure the success of programs and monitor the progress of agency goals.
1. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating and maintaining various resource programs used for collection, storage, and dissemination of tax information and data provided by staff.
- Create and implement resource information program training for Office of Field Operations.
- Develop test scenarios for functionality of resource programs, analyze alternatives, and provide recommendations.
- Facilitate and prepare reports for management with regard to production statistics, process improvements, and other needs.
2. Additional/Supplemental information:
- Required to successfully complete a background investigation including an FBI criminal history record check (fingerprint check).
- Required to comply with all tax laws.
- Mostly at a desk using a computer and telephone.
- Some travel for training and education.

- EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
- EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of systems analysis, business administration, or public administration experience.
- Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Related technical or vocational training will substitute for the bachelor’s degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. A master’s degree in computer science, business, or public administration will substitute for one year of the experience requirement.
- Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in computer programming, systems analysis, information services, research and statistics, business administration, or public administration will substitute for the bachelor’s degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Incumbents working in this job title typically perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period:
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
