As the Reporting Finance Manager – Marketing & Technology, you will have ownership of accounting and reporting for two significant areas of expenditure which includes global ownership for the reporting of the group brand royalty agreements. You will work closely with the Commercial Finance Business Partners to develop a controlled cost environment.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Ownership of monthly management accounts for Marketing, Technology and Brand Licence Royalties including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliation, ensuring that group finance deadlines are complied with
Provide clear and concise reporting to the Marketing and Technology team, Commercial Business Partners and Finance senior team
Support Commercial Business Partners on cost reviews with budget holders
Responsibility for management of third-party brand spend and contributions within Marketing to ensure cost is recovered
Responsible for ensuring that terms of all royalty agreements are adhered to across the group and that accounting standards are followed, including the correct cost recognition by territory. Submission of group royalty declarations and liaising with other group companies to ensure the relevant information is provided on a timely basis.
Monthly payroll and travel spend analysis across Marketing and Technology
Implement controls in line with the Group’s Financial controls programme
Ad hoc project work as required
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
CIMA / ACCA / ACA Qualified Accountant
Experience of management accounting essential
Experience of Retail advantageous
Desire to simplify processes and strive for continuous improvements
Strong communication skills both written and verbal required
Very strong analytical skills required in order to investigate, understand, and explain variances and overall department performance
Ability to work under own initiative
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
Advanced Excel skills, Oracle, TM1 experience not essential but an advantage
