Key Requirements:
- Professional qualification or undergraduate degree in a relevant field, or substantial experience of programme management, training, communication and engagement.
- Knowledge and understanding of core engagement tools to support training delivery.
- Experience in managing small teams.
- Ability to design, develop, interpret and implement new strategies and ways of working to support the organisational goals of the Repairs and Investment department.
- Experience conducting research and user needs analysis to assess what needs to be learned by your audience, and what areas of training need to be prioritised.
- Experience developing training strategies, policy improvements and service development.
- Experience creating and delivering training courses for the development of a wide range of users, with varying degrees of IT skills, knowledge and experience.
We are looking for an experienced Training Manager to work collaboratively with our management team, subject matter experts, our digital teams, project teams and ICT colleagues, supporting this improvement programme and upskilling colleagues in our department. The post holder will be responsible to Lead Project Manager for developing the community and workforce through training, and the development of supporting training materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing all aspects of training that are required to support ongoing projects and transformation work within the Repairs and Investment department.
- Managing 1 or more team members.
- Develop a training and implementation programme, promoting both face to face and online training opportunities, which helps the Repairs and Investment department to shape its future training offering.
- Lead on the development of a monitoring and evaluation framework for the Repairs and Investment training programme, providing regular reports and reviews to senior management.
- Develop training materials including documented training manuals, training plans, handouts etc for use during and post training delivery.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of co-creation and the principles behind taking a user centred approach to delivering training and change.
- Lean on a range of tools and techniques that ensuring users are at the centre of the training we deliver, considering potential sensitivities and/or resistance to change.
