With the assistance of a Renewables Market Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying, valuing, transacting and subsequent position management of Energy Attribute Certificates and Carbon Emissions Reduction Certificate transactions. The focus will be managing client flow from our Commercial I&C retail and PPA activities, providing a route-to-market for our Origination customers, and originating transactions directly with corporate clients.

How will I spend my time in this role?

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with our wholesale customers, brokers and corporate clients;
  • Hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, and managing an Analyst;
  • Driving our marketing efforts to corporate clients including networking, attending conferences, making presentations, and working with the marketing and commercial teams to produce marketing content;
  • Execute trades so that the book value is improved (positive retained P&L) by additional transactions;
  • Originate renewables contracts with corporate clients to deliver additional company revenues and/or manage risks;
  • Carry out the appropriate analysis and pricing of all relevant environmental commodities and carry out analysis to support Origination / Structured Trading Teams;
  • Respond to business leads from the Origination / Sales teams to deliver additional company revenues.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
  • Experience of Gas, Power, Energy Attribute Certificates and / or Carbon Emissions Reduction Certificates trading gained through a front office position at a utility, trading house, bank, or similar institution;
  • Extensive experience marketing commodity products to corporate clients;
  • Extensive experience of analysing market data and trends to develop new commercial strategies;
  • Extensive network in the European energy markets;
  • Experience of the full deal life cycle - originating, structuring, and executing;
  • Deep market knowledge of the renewable energy sector (e.g. regulatory regimes promoting renewable energy and emissions reductions, market participants, market fundamentals, price and volatility trends).
What sets us apart?
  • Global Impact: With offices in the UK, US, and Australia, and plans for further expansion, you'll be part of a dynamic, globally-minded team, with opportunities to explore new markets and make a difference on a global scale.
  • Flexible Working: Embrace the freedom to work from anywhere in the world for up to 30 days a year. We prioritize work-life balance, recognizing that your well-being matters.
  • Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: We celebrate our diverse culture and value individuals irrespective of background, disability, religion, gender identity, sexuality, or ethnicity. Join a team where diversity is not just welcomed but celebrated as a key driver of growth and innovation.
