REMOTE UK Mandarin E-commerce DIRECTOR

This is an outstanding opportunity for a very senior MANDARIN CHINESE speaking E-commerce Director with a background gained in organisations such as TikTok Shop, eBay, Amazon or others. You will bring to this role your team management and Board experience as well as in-depth expertise within this fast-growing e-commerce sector as the company looks to establish a network of local sellers and vendors in the UK and Europe and a UK team to look after them. TITLE: REMOTE MANDARIN CHINESE speaking E-commerce Vendor Director

Salary: £180,000-£250,000 + Performance bonus (generous)

DUTIES:

Reporting directly to the Board and looking after the UK market you will:

• Oversee the Operations Team based in China.
• Recruit and onboard a team of 10 or more people within Business Development who will look after and develop relationships with merchandise partners, manufacturers, and brands with a view to them putting their goods on the e-commerce platform.
• Mentor, measure, and lead the team so that a best-in-class service is provided to vendors.
• Understand P&L and data analytics.
• Report back to the Board on progress.
• Be aware of consumer trends in the e-commerce landscape.
• Visit new merchants where required.
• Support merchandise partners and help vendors develop business plans (e.g., market positioning, product planning, brand marketing, and logistics).

Requirements:

• Fluent Mandarin (essential).
• Fluent English (essential).
• At least 8 years of people management experience at Director level.
• Happy to work fully remotely.
• Solid e-commerce background is essential.
