Job description

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Remediation Compliance Consultant to help set up and lead a remediation programme for borrowers in financial difficulty. If you have hands-on experience in designing and implementing arrears programmes and are familiar with compliance within retail banking, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and lead a remediation programme for borrowers in arrears or financial difficulty.
  2. Develop processes and document the approach for handling subprime customers.
  3. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment across teams.
  4. Provide guidance on compliance within retail banking and ensure that remediation processes meet regulatory standards.
  5. Manage and track the implementation of arrears management strategies.
  6. Contribute to continuous improvement of programme processes and compliance standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Retail banking background, particularly in compliance and remediation.
  2. Proven experience in designing and managing arrears management programmes, with a hands-on approach to process design and documentation.
  3. Experience working with subprime customers and understanding of the complexities in dealing with financial difficulty.
  4. Previous experience at a Manager level in a Big 4 consulting firm or equivalent.
  5. Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in retail banking.
  6. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  7. Ability to manage complex programmes and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  8. In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services, particularly in relation to remediation and arrears management.

Initial 6 month contract.
