Salary NS5 £25,183 - £25,584 per annum

We are now recruiting for Relief Waste Management Operatives to help deliver all waste services to homes and businesses across the district including general waste collection, recycling, garden and trade waste along with the new glass recycling service.

The positions will entail working unsociable hours in all weathers. You should be physically fit, with the ability to work alone and unsupervised. Full training, uniform and PPE will be provided.

Experience in working in a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

You will be based at the Council’s Brunel Drive Depot in Newark and possessing a full driving licence is desirable.

You will be working with a professional, committed and experienced team who are passionate about supporting us to deliver the objectives as outlined in our Community Plan.

The Relief contract is 0 hours, on an ‘as and when’ basis.

We offer:

  • A generous annual leave entitlement that increases with service.
  • Family-friendly benefits.

  • Lifestyle benefits platform.
  • Funded health cash plan.
  • £10 a month gym membership at one of our four gyms in the district.
