Relief Manager
Scotland
Circa £55,000 + Company Car

We are looking to recruit a Relief Manager to join an established Nursing & Residential care home provider covering my clients homes across Scotland.

An established & experienced Nursing Home Manager, you will manage all aspects of the running of the allocated Home in the absence of a Home Manager, whether it be covering holiday or absence or helping in recruiting a permanent Home Manager.

You will ensure achievement of performance targets within set timescales and against an agreed action plan. To act as the Home Manager for a specific period of time until the vacancy is filled or until the return of the post holder.

Role Responsibility

  1. Leads the Home team to establish and deliver the vision and development plan for their home.
  2. Ensures regulatory compliance standards are met through robust quality assurance monitoring with effective and timely processes in place to improve services and respond swiftly to regulatory feedback.
  3. Ensures kindness and person-centred care is embedded in the home and that clear systems and processes are in place to monitor outcomes for residents and improve all aspects of quality of care and quality of life. You will monitor their home and their individual performance, ensuring they meet company requirements, Health & Social Care Act Regulations, and that they follow and implement policies and procedures.
  4. Puts robust people leadership and management processes in place and leads, develops, and communicates effectively to retain colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate
  1. The Ideal candidate will have strong operations experience with a clear focus on quality care.
  2. Experienced Nursing home manager, a NMC PIN (desirable).
  3. Hands-on approach and able to support Managers to create the best Care Homes possible while taking a strategic business approach to decisions.
  4. Experience of the commercial and Healthcare sector is essential.
  5. Knowledge of National Standards, professional nursing standards and NMC code of practice.
