Relief Early Years Practitioner

We are looking for a caring, creative and committed individual who will form part of an excellent team responsible for providing educational and play opportunities for 2-5 year olds.

The post holder will be required to work at either of the Salvation Army Gillingham Preschools: Salvation Army Preschool.

Key Responsibilities:

1. The care and supervision of the children
2. Provision of learning opportunities
3. Working as part of a team
4. Operating within a key person system of individual care
5. Supporting parents/carers and families

The Successful Candidate(s) will be:

1. Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in early year’s childcare according to Department for Education
2. Experience of a key person approach
3. English and Maths GCSE level 4 or Grade C or above, or equivalent
4. Able to work within the Christian ethos and mission of The Salvation Army as a Christian Church and Registered Charity.

Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and a satisfactory enhanced with the barred list child workforce DBS Check.
