Job Title: Reliability Engineer – 12-month FTC
Location: Buxton, Derbyshire

Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25-day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join our team based at our Nestlé Waters site in Buxton.

A day in the life of a Reliability Engineer

As a Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and participating in the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme aimed at eliminating unplanned stops and optimising maintenance costs to increase asset intensity.

Other responsibilities will include:

  1. Actively participate in the maintenance routines to ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled and executed in time with high quality.
  2. Support and participate in the implementation of maintenance methodologies (PM pillar, foundations).
  3. Master and coach breakdown analysis.
  4. Ensure effective utilisation of the AMM system.
  5. Support and participate in the competence building plan (CBP) for the maintenance team.
  6. Assist with the technical training program for all factory maintenance staff.
  7. Support production to eliminate quality defects, safety risks, and chronic technical issues.

The role will report to the Asset Maintenance Manager and will form part of the engineering team on site. This is an exciting opportunity to lead through change and progress your career.

Other experiences and attributes include:

  1. Qualified Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
  2. Experience in engineering management (maintenance, industrial, services, E&A) in an FMCG related manufacturing environment.
  3. Experience of working in multifunctional teams (i.e., capital projects, DMAIC) preferred.
  4. Ability to motivate, influence, and coach with strong interpersonal skills.
  5. Natural leadership ability to challenge and build capability.
  6. Ability to communicate across all levels and work on own initiative.
  7. Knowledge of TPM methodology is desirable.
  8. Strong understanding of continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC, RCA.
