The Team

The Regulatory team is expanding and offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced solicitors looking to grow their careers. The team handles a wide range of regulatory matters including Health & Safety, Environmental law, White Collar Crime, AML, POCA, and General Regulatory matters. In particular, there is a strong focus on the sports sector. The team is led by a newly appointed partner with a proven track record, offering mentorship and guidance in your professional development.

As a Regulatory Associate Solicitor, you will:

1. Work on a variety of exciting cases within the regulatory field, including Health & Safety, Environmental law, White Collar Crime, AML, POCA, and more.
2. Gain exposure to both contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters, police station interviews, and advocacy in the Magistrates' Court.
3. Actively participate in regulatory matters within the sports sector.
4. Develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide expert legal advice.
5. Assist with business development, including attending seminars and writing articles to support the growth of the practice.
6. Work alongside a supportive, experienced team, with exposure to senior leadership and mentorship.
7. Help develop the department while working on cutting-edge legal matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. 2-5 years PQE in general regulatory work (Health & Safety, Environmental law, AML, POCA, White Collar Crime).
2. Experience in police station interviews and cautioned interviews.
3. Rights of audience and advocacy experience in the Magistrates' Court.
4. A proactive attitude with an interest in business development and helping to grow the team.
5. A valid driving license and the ability to travel, as this is a Birmingham-based role.
6. Experience in regulatory sports work is desirable but not essential.
