Position Summary

We have a new opportunity to join the Nestle Health Science UK/I Regulatory Affairs team as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist. UK & EU general food law experience is essential.


The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will work in the Regulatory Affairs Team, across both the Medical Nutrition and Consumer Care (including food supplements) portfolios. This individual will support with tasks such as reviewing for regulatory compliance of recipes, raw materials, labelling and liaising with brand teams to manage product communication.


A day in the life of a Regulatory Affairs Specialist

You’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our products to the market and supporting the marketing and development teams on exciting product launches. You will help ensure all our products are compliant against UK & Irish Food, Food Supplement and FSMP regulations.


You’ll also:


  1. Check the accuracy and legal compliance of our labels and specifications.
  2. Support with compilation of Medical Nutrition applications for submission to the UK and Irish prescribing authorities.
  3. Support teams to achieve compliant, responsible and accurate communications (e.g. advertising, web content) that are also engaging and compelling.
  4. Help answer consumer queries.
  5. Contribute as a key member of local Innovation & Renovation projects.
  6. Advise on import and export regulatory requirements.
  7. Help train and boost colleague understanding of regulatory requirements/Nestlé policy and how these relate to their day-to-day roles.

What will make you successful?

To be successful in this role you will have 2-3 years of experience in Food Regulatory Affairs with UK & EU food law knowledge. You will be self-sufficient and results focused with great analytical skills. You’ll have an excellent eye for detail and understand how your decisions impact the wider business strategy. You will be a team player and have great communication skills that enable you to challenge and influence across all levels whilst being able to develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.


Being proactive and challenging in order to arrive at a resolution is a must, as is having a real desire to get to the heart of issues that may arise, coupled with your ability to be flexible when prioritising work in an environment that will often be ambiguous and sometimes pressured.


You will have the ability to learn fast and be able to demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset & commitment to optimising processes. Above all, you must have a true passion for compliance.
