Find fulfilment with Norwood Road Vets
Does a 4 or 5-day week with no weekends and no OOH sound good to you? Are you a nurse who loves to be hands-on? Are you maybe even thinking about learning to do schedule 3 procedures or dabble in a certificate study? Are you looking for career progression in a team where you can make a difference? If so, maybe we can help.
About the role
Norwood Road Veterinary Surgery is looking for an eager and ambitious Head Veterinary Nurse to join our small but mighty team. We can offer a varied caseload, anything from cute puppies to specialist surgeries and scans. We’d love it if you like stitch ups or a good cat abscess, but we’re totally open if you prefer running nurse clinics. Acting as a Clinical Coach to one of our Student Veterinary Nurses or having the willingness to train to become one is also advantageous. We are happy to help you either way with hands-on learning, CPD study, and lots of cake to keep you going. As a team, we like to work together and collaborate on patient care, making sure everyone’s voice is heard and respected. A clinical coaching qualification is desirable.
As Head Nurse, you’ll have the opportunity to help teach and shape the nursing team in areas such as anaesthesia, surgery, inpatient care, infection control, and nurse consultations. Of course, there are administration components too. We’re always open to hearing about new protocols and would like to know how we can help you grow in your career.
If you’re not quite ready for a Head Nurse position, we are also open to RVN applicants (salary would be up to £35,000 DOE).
Find your perfect balance
This is a full or part-time role. Typically, the full-time role is 40 hours across 4 or 5 days, no weekends and no OOH. However, we are flexible and therefore happy to discuss working days/hours that would suit you as we care about your work/life balance.
