Registered Nurse

Cedar Court Care Home is currently seeking a Registered Nurse who is passionate and enthusiastic about continuing and progressing their career within care.

Position: Registered Nurse

Job Type: Full Time | 33 hours

Pay: £20 per hour

Location: Cedar Court Care Home, Whittlesey, Peterborough

We offer specialist residential dementia care in a peaceful and safe environment for individuals with dementia and long-term illness. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
• Assist with wound care and dressing changes
• Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• NMC – Required
• Completion of a nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
• Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
• Experience in providing patient care in a healthcare setting
• Proficient in medication administration and following prescribed treatment plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from healthcare professionals
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients
