The Position

In order to address the increasing market demand for its services while leveraging the company’s current growth trajectory, SeekOps is seeking a Regional Sales Manager – Europe & Sub-Saharan Africa. This position will be responsible for supporting market growth for SeekOps services in the North Sea, Caspian, Europe and SSA. The Regional Sales Manager will be a key member of the global sales team, reporting to the Business Development Director, Europe & Sub-Saharan Africa and would focus on supporting upstream and midstream oil and gas markets alongside SeekOps’ engineering and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in oil and gas related technical sales support and existing relationships within the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR)/Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions market and energy industry. Entrepreneurial and flexible with a strong commercial mindset, the successful candidate will demonstrate a team sales strategy, always acting in the best interests of the business and the customer.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interface directly with Energy Companies, Operators, and strategic oilfield services and environmental consulting partners to promote SeekOps products and services.
  • Execute action plans to grow customer base and increase the company’s share of their business.
  • Responsible for the coordination of pricing and proposals within region.
  • Responsible for achieving sales goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for preparing and delivering customer presentations as needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and targeting plans as needed.
  • Support activities of Technical Services, Operations, and Sales.
  • Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing in accordance with regional pricing structure, while answering requests for quotation in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for coordinating trade and technical conferences within the region.
  • Responsible for coordination of marketing material, promotional items and display products.
  • Support targets and timelines for key account growth; manage client relationships and create an extended link to the customer.
  • Support third party drone service providers and other SeekOps strategic partners with corporate accounts.
  • Responsible for supporting direct technical sales to customer corporate offices; provide/coordinate technical support to our partners’ field sales personnel and our customers’ field offices in the region.
  • Develop market and technical intelligence (research and reporting).
  • Report on sales meetings and market activities on a regular basis; represent SeekOps at various technical associations and conferences.
  • Identify new technical, sales and product development strategies and opportunities.
  • Travel expected up to 20% of the time.
  • Strong preference for candidates residing in or near Aberdeen, Scotland, UK.
  • Perform duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years (10 years preferred) of experience in technical sales support, preferably selling to customers in LDAR/Emissions inspection services and energy companies. Direct or closely associated O&G industry experience is important.
  • Experience with regional operators as customers strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with web-based customer procurement systems such as Ariba, Magnet JQS, etc.
  • Good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Proven ability to multitask in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Experience in Customer Relationship Management and contract negotiation.
  • Multilingual proficiency desired.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Strong preference for candidates residing in or near Aberdeen, Scotland, UK.
