Job description

About The Organization

Founded in 1919, the organization is a globally recognized manufacturer and marketer of highly engineered precision bearings and related products. These components are critical to the operation of aircraft, machinery, and complex mechanical systems—reducing friction, enabling smooth power transmission, and increasing system efficiency. With a focus on technically demanding and regulated products, the organization supports specialized markets that require advanced design, testing, and manufacturing capabilities.

The company operates 53 facilities across five countries, including 31 manufacturing locations, and is supported by a global network of sales engineers, distributors, and authorized agents. Over the past 25 years, the company has significantly expanded its reach, product lines, and customer base, earning leadership positions in many of its core markets.

Key Points

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the aerospace industry, with knowledge of both commercial and military programs.
  • Demonstrated track record in revenue-based results with major aerospace primes at a senior or management level.
  • Solid work history with well-established industry employers.
About The Role

The organization is seeking a driven and experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead commercial activities across the UK and European aerospace markets. This role is responsible for managing high-value customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and supporting strategic growth initiatives in both OEM and aftermarket channels.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to meet revenue and market share objectives.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with aerospace OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and key program stakeholders.
  • Own the sales process from prospecting and proposal development to contract negotiation and customer support.
  • Identify and pursue new application areas, program wins, and customer accounts across the territory.
  • Support commercial engagement in LTA and major bid negotiations in coordination with internal teams.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to monitor trends, pricing shifts, customer activity, and competitor positioning.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product management to deliver technical and commercial solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports, account plans, and insights for internal leadership using CRM and reporting tools.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and high-level customer meetings.
  • Coach or support junior sales staff when applicable and contribute to internal collaboration.
Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Degree-qualified in engineering or business.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in aerospace sales or business development, ideally involving bearings or mechanical components.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience managing key accounts and delivering strategic growth.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms.
  • Highly self-motivated, well-organized, and results-focused.
Flexibility Criteria

  • Candidates must show career stability; frequent moves every 2–3 years will not be considered.
  • Current experience at a direct competitor is not required, as long as industry relevance is present.
  • Candidates must already reside in England, preferably in the Midlands region.
  • Applications requiring visa sponsorship or administrative work/residence permit procedures will not be considered.
Why Apply?

  • Represent a global industry leader with more than 100 years of engineering excellence.
  • Manage high-value accounts in a dynamic and growing aerospace segment.
  • Attractive salary and annual performance-based bonus.
  • International exposure and strong internal support network across engineering and operations.
