Sales Manager - Covering UK & Ireland - Machine Tools - 50,000- 60,000 + OTE + Hybrid Car

Sales Manager required to join a well-established, Tier 1 supplier of machine tools, covering the UK and Ireland. My client is looking for someone ideally who is based in or around the Midlands who has had experience selling machine tools / CNC machinery or similar to industries including automotive, aerospace, medical and woodworking.

As the successful Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales activity, taking an active role in the acquisition of new customers, considering new revenue streams, up-selling to existing customers and developing the market.

This role would suit someone who has held the following job titles; Business Development Manager (BDM), Technical Sales Engineer, Regional Sales Manager or similar.

The Package:

Salary - 50,000- 60,000

The Role:

  • Plan, direct and drive the sales activities.
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts and advise on sales management strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of the marketing plans and recommend modifications to the marketing strategies considering trends.
  • Be the voice of the customer internally.
  • Coordinate and action the sales budget and regional business plans.
  • Work closely with Engineering to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of special projects for customers in assigned territory.
  • Manage customer expectations on sales project progress and the final delivery of machines.
  • Prepare quotations.
  • Conduct price negotiations for machines, software, and after-market products.
  • Product demonstrations.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience working in the machine tool sector selling CNC Machines, grinding machinery or similar.
  • Must have previous technical sales experience.
  • Must have a full licence and be happy to travel overseas when required.
