The Regional Omnichannel Shopper Strategy Lead will be responsible for transforming the Retail Media process & execution in Haleon, creating a centre of excellence in the EMEA/LATAM region, to ensure we are driving the most effective and efficient communications to our shoppers and delivering personalised experiences. This is a future fit capability for the business.

This role is also responsible for shopper insights both upstream for global categories and downstream to Business Units/Local Operating Countries. They will create insights to guide the business on how to capitalise on growth opportunities across the region, and lead the centre of excellence for shopper insight into action across all retail channels.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Create Centre of Excellence for Retail Media in Haleon, defining the blueprint of this future fit capability.
  • Guide & Influence senior stakeholders on shopper execution strategy for Haleon’s Categories.
  • Lead shopper research for Global & Local innovation initiatives across EMEA/LATAM Region. Eg. To improve shopper centricity of packaging or to identify best merchandising positioning for new portfolio.
  • Lead shopper research for Global & Local customer initiatives across EMEA/LATAM eg. Testing different scenarios of Oral Care layout set the total regional merchandising strategy for Haleon.
  • Lead Retailer teams in EMEA/LATAM Markets in delivering key Shopper Marketing and category management priorities and supporting them with their insights planning and delivery of insights projects.
  • Own full suite of shopper insight methodologies and coordinate external agencies to deliver best methodology to meet insight objectives.
  • Analyse many data sources to create actionable insights.
  • Bring in innovation for latest new insight methodologies for faster more effective insights.
  • Manage Direct Report responsible for conducting shopper insight studies across the EMEA/ LATAM region.
  • Lead relationship with Shopper agency partners across the region.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Expert in shopper insight studies – qualitative and quantitative, with good commercial understanding of customers.
  • Expert in translating shopper insights into actions, understanding data and making meaningful actions/decisions and suggestions from that.
  • Used variety of techniques/approaches to shopper insights fit for purpose.
  • Ability to influence and persuade senior stakeholders on importance of shopper insight.
  • Expert in defining & executing retail media strategy in a full funnel, Omnichannel context.

Minimum Experience:

  • Must have conducted Shopper Marketing work in a sophisticated market, where data & advanced analytics are essential for engaging with customers.
  • Must have experience of working with Retail Media networks in a sophisticated market.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in a commercial environment.
