Job description

Summary

BCA are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their growing team. As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with the Regional Operations team supporting multiple sites. The role is one of decision support: providing, analysing and interpreting management information to influence decision making and to deliver service improvements and efficiencies.

What you'll do

• Partner with West & Scotland Regional operations teams, providing insight and understanding to ensure BCA meets its financial objectives
• Regularly spend time in branch, working with the operations team to understand and drive performance
• Provide insight and challenge the performance of branches, identifying trends and opportunities
• Work with the wider Regional Finance team to standardise and formalise processes and drive rigour across the national network
• Improve visibility of financial, commercial and operational performance during each financial period
• Have a desire to "get under the bonnet" and "have a view", dissect operational processes and propose KPIs to measure and drive productivity and commercial decisions
• Move comfortably between detailed and helicopter views to drive considered, holistic judgements
• Communicate and illustrate ideas and metrics succinctly and effectively across the team
• Help the business through potential operational systems changes and upgrades
• As a valued member of the UK Remarketing leadership team, act as a role model for the BCA values and behaviours and provide leadership that enhances the reputation of the Finance community and BCA as a whole
• Ability to interact with non-financial business partners is key i.e. Operations, People Team, Sales, Marketing etc. interpreting complicated commercial positions/situations articulately
• Build and manage relationships and network productively
• Regular reporting of financial performance and KPIs and associated commentary
• Ownership of budget process for the Region.

Who you are

• Qualified accountant
• Strong leadership, influencing and coaching skills
• Ability to challenge and impact at a senior level, delivering concise communications
• Proven track record in managing and sustaining effective relationships at a senior level
• Strong commercial awareness and business understanding of the drivers of success
• Able to lead or facilitate organisational change with a good working knowledge of project management
• Highly proactive, resilient and results driven
• Ability to work flexibly at pace
• Well-developed analytical skills combined with the ability to influence and drive outcomes
• Advanced Excel skills.
