Shirley Parsons are partnering with a leading infrastructure company to appoint a Regional Environmental Sustainability Manager on a12-month fixed-term contract In the South West. If you’re passionate about sustainability and have the drive to implement environmental initiatives across high-impact projects, this could be the role for you.

As the Regional Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing sustainability compliance and initiatives across several key projects in the South West. Working alongside a talented team, you’ll be responsible for environmental compliance, driving sustainability practices, and making a real impact on civil projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure projects comply with sustainability standards, focusing on environmental regulations and carbon reduction initiatives.
  • Sustainability Strategy: Develop and implement sustainability action plans, supporting carbon and efficiency targets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with key stakeholders across the region, maintaining visibility and influencing positive sustainability outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a direct report, providing support and fostering a culture of sustainability.
  • Data & Reporting: Collect, analyse, and report on sustainability performance, ensuring continuous improvement and transparency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Environmental Understanding: Strong knowledge of environmental compliance and sustainability practices.
  • A Quick Starter: Ability to start at short notice, with minimal transition time required.
  • Stakeholder Skills: Excellent communication skills to engage with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable working across multiple locations within the South West.
