CPS Group UK are delighted to be working with a leading Financial Services organisation to appoint a seasoned Red Hat OpenShift Engineer for an initial 6-month contract, with likely long-term extension.

The Red Hat OpenShift Engineer will develop, modernise and deploy applications at scale within the cloud-based Kubernetes platform.

This role can be (primarily) performed remotely, though applicants must be based in the UK and hold valid UK right-to-work.

Role Requirements

1. Design, develop and deploy applications in a containerised environment using Red Hat OpenShift & Kubernetes
2. Manage and configure OpenShift clusters
3. Ensure high performance, security and scalability of OpenShift clusters
4. Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab and/or Ansible
5. Develop and support microservices architectures
6. Optimise application performance utilising best practices and strategies
7. Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues where required
8. Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure and software development teams where appropriate
9. Document technical processes, system logs and playbooks
10. Ensure adherence to strict security and compliance frameworks/guidelines

Required Skills & Experience

1. Strong, demonstrable technical proficiencies in:
1. OpenShift (v3/4)
2. Kubernetes
3. Docker & Containerisation
4. CI/CD Pipeline Development
5. API Integrations
6. Jenkins
7. Cluster Management
8. AMQ Broker (desirable)
2. Red Hat certification (e.g. RHCSA, RHCE or RHACM)
3. Financial Services experience (desirable)
4. Team player, possessing excellent stakeholder communication and management skills
