Job Description

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can make a difference? We are seeking a Recycling Centre Operative to join our team in Newark! This is a customer-facing role, helping the public correctly dispose of their waste while ensuring the site remains clean and organised.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting customers in finding the correct containers for their waste
2. Answering queries and providing guidance on recycling
3. Sorting through waste from black bin bags and placing it in the appropriate containers
4. Completing paperwork and using tablets for data entry
5. General site cleaning and maintenance

Duration: This role has contracts for permanent jobs.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: The hourly wage for this role is £12.21, with 28 days of paid holiday!

Working Hours: Split shifts on a weekly rotation:
- Week 1: 08:00 – 16:30
- Week 2: 11:00 – 19:30
This role is 4 on 2 off therefore weekend work is necessary

Experience & Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:
– Recycling experience is not necessary but would be very beneficial
– Excellent customer service skills
– A proactive and positive attitude
– Ability to work as part of a team
– Basic IT skills for data entry
