Ventus International is an Edinburgh-based executive search and recruitment consultancy, with an exclusive focus on the renewable energy industry. We have exciting growth plans – including international expansion – and have a strong track record supporting companies involved in the financing, development, execution and operation of renewable energy assets, globally. Ventus covers all major technology markets, including onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, storage, power-to-x, and marine renewables.

As part of our ambitious plans for growth, we are looking to speak with consultants of all experience levels (including those with no prior recruitment experience). Ventus offers an industry-leading commission scheme, with no threshold. Key Responsibilities
  1. Play a key role in business growth, through consistent, high-quality delivery against core targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  2. Full ‘360’ degree recruitment duties and responsibilities, including sales opportunities and delivery-focused candidate sourcing and acquisition, including ownership of an agreed business plan.
  3. Take responsibility for monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  4. Undertake phone-based business development, making targeted and focused calls into both existing client base and prospective customers.
  5. Meet and exceed weekly objectives:
    1. Business Development calls – 10 / day
    2. Candidate calls – 10 / day
    3. High-quality submittals to clients – 15 / week
    4. Scheduled first-stage interviews – 5 / week
    5. Scheduled client meetings – 3 / week
  6. Act as a brand ambassador for Ventus at all times; representing the business in key meetings, industry events, and conferences.
  7. Pitch for and secure retained, exclusive, and executive search mandates across relevant markets.
  8. Promote and position Ventus as the renewable energy industry’s ‘go-to’ search firm.
  9. Establish, maintain, and develop strong client relationships.
  10. Set the standard on a daily basis for less experienced team members.
  11. Keep fully up-to-speed on industry news, regulation, policy, and legislation changes, in order to provide unrivalled market insights to our key clients.
  12. Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective customers.
Education and Experience
  1. Preferably degree-qualified.
  2. Preferably experienced in recruitment or sales.
  3. Passion for the renewable energy sector is essential.
  4. Capable of working at pace, under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  5. Willing to learn and develop, with a natural desire to outperform others.
  6. Results-focused, with a commitment to meeting and exceeding client expectations.
  7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
