To achieve this, we’re investing heavily into the Transmission and Distribution businesses to help decarbonise the UK, and we’ll need to hire a huge number of new green talent into the organisation over the next few years. This is where we need you!
If you’re a Recruitment professional who shares our passion for creating a cleaner, greener future, we want to hear from you! We’re recruiting Recruitment Consultants to join our People team where you’ll directly contribute to the transformation of the energy sector, protecting the planet for generations to come.
Our Networks business plays a driving force in the evolution towards Net Zero, this is your chance to join us as we strive towards change.
In this role, you’ll develop and deliver a variety of recruitment strategies to meet the resourcing needs of the business. You’ll provide a future focused service to your business area identifying, attracting, and delivering talent to meet our growth targets.
You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to ensure vacancies are efficiently managed and that our growth targets are met on time, identifying any risks, challenges, and issues. You’ll deliver bespoke recruitment and selection training as needed and feed emerging training requirements to the wider function.
Importantly, you’ll take a proactive and creative approach to engaging great talent through a variety of approaches. This includes direct-sourcing passive candidates for roles, building talent pools of in-demand skillsets and tapping into new talent pipelines from which to source. You’ll proactively monitor your vacancies and be quick to intervene when roles need additional attention to identify the quality talent pool required to identify a successful hire for the role. You’ll be focused on continuous improvement, finding new ways of working to make our processes more inclusive, attract diverse talent and improve candidate experience.
You’ll develop communication strategies to promote ScottishPower as an employer of choice across our internal and external publishing channels including social media, 3rd party platforms plus attendance at off-site events where appropriate. Keeping abreast of market intelligence and benchmarking to support the business in securing the best talent.
We’re a delivery focused team, deploying a variety of creative sourcing strategies to attract the best talent to our business.
With that in mind, we’re looking for experienced Recruitment professionals who come from an in-house recruitment background (preferably but not essentially utilities) or with technical engineering recruitment experience within a specialist and consultative agency environment. And you’ll be passionate about delivering inclusive recruitment practices, ensuring that our hires reflect the communities we serve.
You’ll be an expert on directly sourcing talent for technical or niche roles using innovative recruitment and attraction strategies, bringing fresh ideas and finding new routes to market to secure good candidates.
Experience of best practice recruitment methodologies for both volume and specialist roles are important, including technical requirement techniques such as the creation of effective Boolean search strings and capitalising on technology for success.
With your consultative way of working and natural ability to build effective stakeholder relationships, you’ll become a trusted advisor to the business. You’ll coach and influence stakeholders on interview and assessment best practices and work in partnership with HR Business Partners to support their respective business areas' recruitment challenges and issues.
You’ll be a self-motivated recruiter who can work independently, with experience formulating recruitment strategies to generate talent pools for current and future recruitment needs and deliver engaging campaigns to promote our opportunities with active and passive candidates. You won’t be afraid to bring new creative ideas to the table to continue to attract diverse candidates via a variety of means.
As well as bringing the creativity and technical recruiting experience, you’ll need to be process oriented too. Not only do we need to deliver, we need to do it efficiently and compliantly! You’ll bring knowledge of relevant employment legislation, and you’ll be the go-to for hiring managers and senior business stakeholders surrounding recruitment, assessment, and selection, GDPR and eligibility to work in the UK.
As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
