Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

18.75 Hrs per week, working pattern to be agreed with the individual, however, you will be required to work until 5pm.

We have an opportunity for the right candidate to join our friendly Recruitment team - part of the HR directorate on a part time, fixed term/secondment basis as a Recruitment Administrator.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person, who will be an integral team member of our Trust to help us carry out our future vision and promote WUTH as a great place to work.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for liaising with candidates and managers, playing a proactive part in the recruitment process, providing appropriate and timely advice, information, and support. You will need to have attention to detail and a flexible approach will be essential. You will be processing the full end-to-end recruitment process which includes:

  • Compliance checking
  • Advertising Internally and Externally
  • Sending for shortlisting
  • Setting interviews
  • Issuing conditional and unconditional offers of employment
  • Undertaking the NHS employment check standards including: verification of ID, Right to work, DBS, Occupational Health, Professional Registration/Qualifications, and References
  • Supporting and attending Recruitment Events on evenings and/or weekends

You will use the Trust's selected Recruitment system (TRAC). The post holder would also input new starters' details onto our ESR system.

Previous NHS, Trac, and ESR experience is not essential for this role as full training would be given to the right candidate. However, previous data entry and/or administration experience would be essential from the successful candidate.

You will also be expected to have confident and competent computer skills, with the ability to work within a team and be self-motivated.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3/equivalent experience or ECDL
  • Good level of numeracy, GCSE maths or equivalent

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • In depth knowledge of ESR/NHS Jobs/TRAC systems
  • Knowledge of NHS workforce and staffing requirements
  • Understanding of safe employment practice and governance, compliance, risk and quality agendas with ability to apply in practice
  • Good communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal)

Desirable

  • Experience of working with NHS recruitment and selection, contracts and associated advisory services
  • Knowledge of national issues surrounding recruitment and selection
  • Experience of service improvement and service redesign

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team member
  • Able to multi-task and continue to function to a high standard when under pressure
  • Able to communicate well, liaise with people at all levels
