Job description

Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Jump Trading Group is committed to world class research. We empower exceptional talents in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science to seek scientific boundaries, push through them, and apply cutting edge research to global financial markets. Our culture is unique. Constant innovation requires fearlessness, creativity, intellectual honesty, and a relentless competitive streak. We believe in winning together and unlocking unique individual talent by incenting collaboration and mutual respect. At Jump, research outcomes drive more than superior risk adjusted returns. We design, develop, and deploy technologies that change our world, fund start-ups across industries, and partner with leading global research organizations and universities to solve problems.

Attracting and retaining premier talent is vital to Jump's ever-evolving business. We're looking for a self-driven and motivated Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist with a business development mindset to join our London recruiting team and help us build exceptional teams. In this role, you'll collaborate extensively with Jump's trading community, business development colleagues, and other talent specialists to identify/source and recruit the world's top talent. You’ll work on a variety of technical roles, from perennial hires like Software, IT, and Networking roles, to novel hires in areas that we’re expanding.

What you'll do:
  • Collaborate with firm leadership and internal hiring partners to define hiring needs and execute thoughtful recruiting strategies.
  • Support the recruitment process - guiding prospective candidates and internal partners from the initial stages of the interview experience to managing a seamless closing process.
  • Screen, qualify and present highly qualified candidates to hiring managers for review.
  • Conduct in depth research to source the best technical talent - both opportunistically and for active mandates.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across the firm and with third-party recruitment agencies, ensuring Jump's brand is properly represented within the market.
  • Develop highly competitive and thoughtful offer packages, leveraging a range of data: market, internal and candidate history/expectations.
  • Partner across People Operations and other functions at a global level.
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.
Skills you'll need:
  • At least 2 years of experience managing and driving full life-cycle engineering recruiting processes in a corporate setting and/or staffing search firm.
  • Proven success across the tech world and a track record of hiring top tech talent and identifying/building new business opportunities.
  • Ability to negotiate independently and influence others across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with a strong appetite to learn new areas of the business outside of your immediate comfort zone.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Team-first mindset with the ability to collaborate and partner across a global team.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and act with a sense of urgency.
  • A passion for delivering a best-in-class candidate experience and continuously improving hiring strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate extensively with other team members based in different offices.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services and trading landscape in London is preferred but not required.
  • Reliable and predictable availability.
Benefits include:
  • Private Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance
  • Travel Medical Insurance
  • Group Pension Scheme
  • Group Life Assurance and Income Protection Schemes
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Parking and Commuter Benefits
