We are seeking a part-time, 30 hour per week, Recruiter/HR Generalist to join our Team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Greets individuals in person, by phone and email that present to the HR Department.
2. Collaborates with the Recruiter with pre-employment processes/documentation and travel staff placement in partnership with Hiring Managers.
3. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
4. Facilitates new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
5. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, recognition, payroll, occupational health and safety.
6. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
7. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Researches, develops and implements effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent.
2. Collaborates with department managers and leaders to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
3. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on industry standards and the needs of the hospital.
4. Works with marketing firm and Community Relations Department on the advertising process.
5. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and YH policies.
6. Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.

10. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
11. Experience in a professional office setting with customer service experience required.
12. Healthcare experience preferred.
13. At least one year of human resource experience preferred.
