UK Remote or West Midlands Based – Birmingham/Worcestershire Area

Role and Purpose
We are looking for a dedicated, self-driven and proactive individual to grow the Flix team. You will be supporting with growth of the studio by providing an exceptionally positive candidate journey for all Flix applicants, from resourcing candidates and initial contact all the way through to onboarding successful hires. You will be responsible for recruiting across all our disciplines, maintaining and updating the recruitment pipeline for current and future potential hires, as well as suggesting and implementing new and innovative improvements to our recruitment practices.
Responsibilities
- Champion the entire candidate journey from initial contact all the way through to onboarding.
- Create open role advertisements, collaborating with the relevant development team to create and update job descriptions for both internal and external use.
- Actively approach potential candidates for all open roles, focusing on priority opportunities and specific skills for project requirements.
- Manage, organise and maintain the careers inbox of applicants.
- Call candidates for initial screenings to discuss suitability for roles, considering specifics of project requirements.
- Triage promising applications to development team members to review.
- Arrange and schedule interviews for candidates, assisting the HR manager and hiring managers with the running/hosting of some interviews.
- Liaise with the operations team, senior leadership team and producers to ensure smooth integration for new starters.
- Conduct onboarding days for new starters.
- Oversee new employee recruitment efforts, including writing job descriptions, evaluating candidates, onboarding, and any necessary training.
- Research, implement and develop ways to increase visibility of our studio and our open roles to the relevant audiences.
- Manage, maintain and develop the recruitment pipeline and associated administrative tasks.
- Attend recruitment and industry events across the country to represent Flix and encourage potential candidates to apply for open roles.
- Work with universities, colleges and other educational facilities to grow our relationship and provide encouragement and support to graduates and future members of the games industry at their events, providing portfolio reviews, CV advice, etc.
- Create and present recruitment reports for the senior leadership team and heads of development departments, identifying opportunities and challenges.
- Support the HR manager with HR and personnel administration, including creation of employment contracts and organising NDAs and contracts through DocuSign.
- Support the operations manager with the wider studio/personnel administration where necessary.
Requirements
- 3+ years recruitment experience.
- Previous administration experience.
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise workload.
- Passion for ensuring accurate administration and reporting.
- Friendly and positive personality that gets enjoyment and satisfaction out of making things run smoothly and ‘making things happen’.
- A very strong work ethic and self-motivation; a sense of ownership and responsibility to drive outcomes.
- Excellent people-skills — the ability to communicate, influence, build alliances, network and work well in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work well independently and under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- A positive, can-do, hands-on attitude. You must be willing to help with a range of tasks, some of which may be repetitive and unglamorous, and some of which may be unrelated to your core tasks.
- A high degree of organisation and efficiency.
- Experience in successfully creating and managing systems in a growing company environment.
- Confidence in liaising directly with C-suite and director level team members – being able to present ideas and suggestions eloquently, as well as have the skillset and confidence to counter-propose and present solutions in a respectful manner.

- Experience in recruitment within the gaming industry.
- Experience in a customer service role.
- Experience managing small to medium sized teams.
- Experience running operations remotely.
- Experience in creating presentations and reports.
