Post Title: Recreation Assistant
Site Location: BH Live Active – Pelhams, Bournemouth
FTE Salary: £23,557 per annum
Actual Salary: £12,733.51 per annum, for 20 hours per week
Hours: 20 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
The role:

BH Live is recruiting for a part time Recreation Assistant to join our Recreation team at BH Live Active, Pelhams. A vibrant community hub, the team at Pelhams works closely with the local community and health groups to provide fitness and social activities for all. Swimming facilities include two pools with lane swimming, public swim sessions, pool-based classes, fun for young people, lessons and more. There is also a sauna for post-workout relaxation.

You must hold a valid NPLQ qualification

You will:
  1. Work poolside and be the main point of contact for our customers.
  2. Ensure our customers are kept safe and comply with the centre rules.
  3. Erect, dismantle and move equipment.
  4. Clean the centre and equipment.
  5. Be vigilant and supervise people who are using the pool and centre facilities.
To be successful you will need:
  1. Your NPLQ qualification.
  2. Great customer service skills, initiative and be able to remain calm under pressure.
